PanelClaw, the leading commercial rooftop PV racking manufacturer in the United States, previously retained DNV in 2022 to prepare an assessment of its clawFR racking system. After a thorough review of structural documentation, wind tunnel test reports, component and system strength test results and typical project design packages generated by the company’s cloud-based software platform, clawOS, DNV concluded the clawFR racking system posed no atypical risks.
PanelClaw’s next generation clawFRplus racking system was built on the foundations of the clawFR platform, incorporating enhancements to boost compatibility with large format solar modules. Shortly after launching clawFRplus in 2024, PanelClaw retained DNV to update the clawFR technology assessment to include clawFRplus. After a similar, very thorough review of clawFRplus documentation and reports, DNV concluded the new solution meets the same standards.
